Bride to Healthy Smiles
What's New...
The General Assembly is considering more than $52 million in cuts to dental programs including the elimination of the adult Medicaid dental program. Call your State Representative and Senator TODAY and tell them to restore the Governor's proposed cuts to public dental services.

The Oral Health Care Crisis

Hardworking low and middle-income families suffer every day because of access barriers to critically needed dental services. Dental programs have been cut and clinics closed while the number of children and adults who rely on public dental care has increased. Illinois has among the lowest funding rates in the nation for many critical dental procedures. The Bridge to Healthy Smiles campaign is led by a diverse coalition of oral health care advocates and community groups committed to bringing dental care to the two million Illinois children and adults who rely on government sponsored health care. Our legislative plan offers a long-term solution:

  • Increase Reimbursement Rates
  • Develop Dental Homes for Illinois’ Children
  • Open Dental Clinics in Underserved Areas
